Emerald Pharms is an award-winning cannabis dispensary and resource center. We create a unique, welcoming, informative, medical cannabis-focused experience. Our core mission is to melt away the negative stigma associated with cannabis and ignite a new view of the cannabis plant. We educate through exposing truths and facts about therapeutic cannabis, understanding of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and the integration of the plant in a healthy, inspiring way.

We are for looking to add passionate individuals to our team. Our ideal candidate is knowledgeable about helping others live their best life possible through plant medicine, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices. The role will be responsible for continuing our mission with the individuals that visit our store and assist them in choosing the right medicine to suit their needs.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Greets and assists patients/ customers with compassion and deep listening
  • Educates guests about how to use cannabis therapeutically
  • Suggests other healing paths one should take to use cannabis optimally
  • Manages a cash drawer
  • Assists with bi-weekly inventory
  • Organizes and keeps inventory stocked on the sales floor
  • Ensures all products are always well displayed and visible
  • Helps maintain a clean, attractive environment
  • Works with existing staff to brainstorm creative new ways to continue to grow our small business
  • Keeps buyer informed of product inventory levels, and new products on the market
  • Stays up to date on compliance protocol
  • Helps manage menus – digital, online and in-store
  • Additional duties as required – there’s plenty more to do! We have room for someone who has an interest in/experience with managing social media accounts, website design/maintenance or the overall desire to bring fresh ideas for process/systems improvement
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Organized and flexible
  • Team-player mindset with a high level of dedication to raising the bar for the whole team
  • Patient-centric, compassion-based, medical approach
  • Must be able to listen compassionately to hundreds of patient’s stories, many of which tug on the heartstring
  • Experience using point of sales system preferred
  • Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Education and Experience:

  • Background in healing arts preferred
  • Familiarity with Projectcbd.org
  • 1-2 years experience of customer service, in a fast-paced, demanding environment (preferably retail) required
  • Physical Demands:

    This position requires constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, and standing. Must be able to stand for at least two consecutive hours. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment:

    The role operates in a beautifully decorated, well-lit dispensary with incredible views in Hopland, CA. Our location is small but very busy, working quarters at times get crowded and loud. Must be willing to work around and together with one another. Work generally occurs in a retail store environment with moderate temperature and noise level.
