Bookkeeper / Office Manager

️ Administrative

Scope: Help with various administrative tasks related to the business.

Bookkeeping tasks may include:

  • Open mail and enter bills into QuickBooks
  • Filing receipts, invoices, & associated paperwork chronologically
  • Filling out 8300 Forms
  • Creating invoices & purchase orders
  • Entering bi-weekly payroll general ledgers
  • Preparation of financial reports
  • Compile reports as needed to file taxes
  • Administrative tasks may include:

  • Inventory & ordering
  • Maintaining records and compliance documents
  • Receiving packages
  • Processing returns to vendors via Amazon, UPS, FedEx, etc.
  • Scanning documents
  • Scheduling meetings and managing calendars
  • Note-taking during meetings
  • Prepare, type-up, and disseminate reports
  • Meet & greet visitors
  • HR tasks may include:

  • Processing payroll
  • Assisting with employee performance reviews
  • Benefits administration
  • Recruiting new employees
  • Essential skills & requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks
  • Highly organized
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Discretion & professionalism
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize around deadlines
  • Flexible and have the ability to handle quick and sudden changes
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong proficiency in G-Suite (GMail & associated web apps)
  • Knowledge of IT systems, routers, printers, etc.
  • Passion for and general knowledge of the cannabis industry.
  • A "can do" attitude and ability to pitch in on projects outside of the normal scope of their role.
  • A "pay-it-forward" start-up mentality.
  • The scope of the role at present does not include:

    Handling cannabis plants

    rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

    Cannabis industry knowledge is strongly preferred Excellent communication & organizational skills - ability to project manage and escalate issues to management

    Work Environment

    Work is performed primarily in an indoor environment. Exposure to dust, odors, and cleaning agents.

    Required Education and Experience

    High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent

    Physical Requirements

    Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach and lift for long periods of time

    This is a full-time role in a rapidly expanding cultivation and distribution facility in San Francisco.
