Assistant Manager - Cultivation

Maggie’s Farm is currently looking for an experienced Asst Cultivation Manager to join our growing team!

Must be a current Colorado resident and have an active a Key/Support Badge through the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in leading a team of 15+ cultivators at our outdoor grow in Freemont County CO.
  • Work with the Cultivation Manager to maintain a sizeable grow of cannabis plants, monitoring all aspects of cloning, feeding, watering, weeding, pruning, harvesting, pest identification and other needs on a daily basis.
  • Work alongside cultivators and inspect plants to ensure proper following of processes
  • Train new cultivators in the basics of plant care and Maggie’s Farm processes in taking care of plants.
  • Work closely with the Cultivation Manager to audit and create SOPs for the cultivation team.

    • Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in growing cannabis outdoors, growing from both seed and clone.
  • At least three years working in a fast-paced environment outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Strong knowledge of organic soil, tea brewing, general cultivation practices, IPMs, pruning, watering, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Must be able to handle the stress of growing in an outdoor environment and understand the sense of urgency needed each day.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule and to respond to emergencies or other calls at any time.
  • Must have a Marijuana Enforcement Department Key badge.
  • Working weekends will be expected.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, and able to travel to various Maggie’s Farm company locations.

    • Preferences:

  • A strong background in horticulture and/or agriculture (degree preferred).
  • Experience in the Marijuana industry.
  • Experience in growing organically outdoors.
  • A working understanding of MED rules and protocols.

    • Experience:

  • outdoor grow (all kinds of weather): 3 years (Preferred)
  • growing cannabis outdoors: 2 years (Preferred)
