3B Analytical is an ORE-LAP accredited cannabis laboratory looking to hire a chemist with a strong record of accomplishments in analytical chemistry. The ideal candidate is a highly talented and enthusiastic scientist with extensive experience working in a highly regulated laboratory environment; has experience with Waters and Perkin Elmers Analytical Systems and software; has experience working in cannabis laboratories; extensive knowledge with various analytical techniques and instruments including HPLC-DAD, GC-MS, MS-MS, Headspace sampling.

This position is for 30-40 hrs per week (depending on workload and/or candidate availability).

This is a small business; you will be working independently in the lab. You must be willing to wear multiple hats, perform all duties, be a quick learner and problem solver.

General Duties:

Sample preparation;

Performing required analyses and overseeing day to day operational aspects and testing procedures;

Customer relations: answering all client's inquiries and testing questions;

Generating reports;

Implementing responses to changes in SOPs and corrective actions;

Monitoring standards of performance in quality control and quality assurance;

Monitoring the validity of the analyses performed and data generated in the laboratory to assure reliable data.

Educational/ Experience Requirements: BS in Chemical, Environmental, Physical Sciences, Engineering or Biological Science. At least 24 College Semester Credits in Chemistry. At least 2 years experience in environmental analysis of inorganic and organic analytes. A masters or doctorate may substitute for 1 year experience. Experience in cannabis laboratory preferred. Experience in a NELAC accredited lab preferred.
