Agriculture Quality Assurance Technician

The Agricultural Quality Assurance Technician is a full-time, non-exempt position at Phylos. You will be working directly with Quality management in performing routine audits, analyzing data, writing and maintaining quality documents and developing tools to monitor and improve QA Agricultural processes. Applicants must work well independently and have previous agricultural Quality experience. Successful candidates will have great attention to detail, excellent time-management, and strong communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to run simple laboratory quality tests and record results accurately.
  • Audit production lines for Quality Assurance parameters.
  • Write and maintain Quality Agricultural documents and procedure drafts.
  • Analyze Quality test records for pass/fail.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Botany, Biology and/or other related field preferred.
  • 1+ years professional experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GAP, ISO 9001 and USDA APHIS preferred.
  • Time-management and prioritization.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and strong multitasking ability.
  • Valid driver's license.Some local travel required.
  • OLCC certification or willing to obtain.
  • Willing to complete Metrc training.
  • Computer proficiency in Google suite, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to understand and follow protocols, policies and procedures with exactness.
  • Ability to work in humid, greenhouse environments for prolonged periods.
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Work is primarily performed in office, greenhouse and outdoor environments in all weather conditions during the day. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate in other situations.
