The UCM has a great research potential occupying positions of international leadership. It has cooperation agreements with 340 universities around the world and with 934 institutions in 77 countries, which allow exchanges of students, teaching and research staff and administration staff to all continents.
 
It has the largest library in the country, surpassed only by the National Library, with more than 3,000,000 volumes and a historical fund of more than 232,000 copies. It offers nearly 11,000 reading posts distributed in 32 center libraries, in addition to the Historical Library. Its newspaper library receives more than 40,000 publications and periodical scientific journals and is one of the main suppliers of scientific publications to the set of universities in the country.
 
It also has an extensive cultural offer to enjoy art, literature, music, theater, museums, festivals and more than 250,000 m2 of sports facilities to practice the sport you want.
