Born in Concord, NH Tyler Hanslin began listening to musicians such as Bobby Day and Ritchie Valens. He studied drawing and sculpture at a very early age. Tyler’s grandfather on his paternal side was real estate developer Emil Hanslin.
Tyler’s great-grandfather on his mother’s side was Head Choir Director of the Moscow Patriarchate. Immigrating to the United States before the Russian Revolution and having a son, Walter John Semolic. Walter John Semolic was born in Connecticut and became a professional jazz musician, outfitting acts like the Hal McIntyre Orchestra. Walter married Nelly (Viola) Kasperovich, daughter of Mary Matusevich and Sam Kasperovich.
Artistic Education
Enjoying creative writing and drawing, Tyler shifted from a Montessori School to Canterbury Children’s Center and eventually graduating from Parker Academy. Studying figure drawing at New Hampshire School of Art before finishing high school then attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Cross registering to Berklee School of Music, Emerson College and MIT using the Pro-Arts Consortium. Studying a full 4 years at MIT, two of those years being focused on Creative Holography. He met Yuri Denisyuk in 2006, the final year creative holography study was offered at MIT.
Online Marketing and Web Development
Tyler became a professional digital media specialist in 2003 and a full time SEO in 2007. A background in sculpture lends itself naturally to proper function of fluent digital strategy and user experience as a web developer. Tyler’s passion for geometry and symmetry are at the root of his information architecture data structures and digital strategy.
