New Economy Consulting

New Economy Consulting is Oregon’s premier cannabis consulting firm. Founded in 2013, NEC was instrumental in the drafting and successful passage of the law that legalized medical marijuana dispensaries (HB 3460) and recreational marijuana legalization (Measure 90). Since the legalization of medical dispensaries, NEC has been working with owners, operators, landlords, agents, contractors and attorneys to develop and support the Oregon cannabis industry. NEC specializes in real estate evaluation, state and local compliance, OLCC licensing and operational requirements, supporting new ventures and developing opportunities for our clients.

In addition to supporting cannabis businesses, NEC is deeply engaged in Oregon and national politics relating to growth and protection of the cannabis industry. NEC works closely with elected officials and decision makers throughout the state of Oregon. Our team advises, state and local politicians, national organizations and supports local governments in crafting and implementing cannabis regulations.

FUTURE WORK
In addition to our work with The Marketplace, NEC is actively pushing the reform of existing state laws to allow for the licensing and regulation and licensing of social consumption facilities.
