Process To become a patient, Chicago patients must be over 18 and a resident of Illinois with a qualifying medical condition diagnosed by a physician. Chicago patients who qualify for medical marijuana will complete a fingerprint-based background check. Patients registering as a medical cannabis patient cannot hold a school bus permit or Commercial Driver’s License or be an active duty law enforcement officer, correctional officer, correctional probation officer, or firefighter. Chicago medical cannabis patients who wish to make Mission IL their primary dispensary are required to fill out the form on their website that will allow the Mission IL dispensary team to file patient paperwork on their behalf. Once the paperwork is submitted, the Illinois Department of Public Health takes up to 48 hours to process it. Once it is processed, Chicago patients will receive confirmation and be able to shop at Mission IL for their medical-grade cannabis products.
