Dr. Milan Hopkins earned his Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine in 1969, specializing in internal medicine. Over his forty plus years of practicing as a primary care physician, he has served in the United States Navy as a Medical Officer, volunteered at a Haight-Ashbury Free Medical Clinic, and operated his practice in Upper Lake, California.

The Medical Board of California has reviewed Dr. Hopkins several times, and each time they are reassured that they are doing everything by the books. With such a high reputation, Dr. Hopkins has helped more than 20,000 individual office visitors in the last five years alone.

While Dr. Hopkins’ general practice accepts many kinds of insurance, they are unable to accept insurance for medical cannabis recommendations. Medical cannabis patients are required by the medical board to visit their physician every six months, and the doctor coordinates a follow-up schedule with each of his medical marijuana recommendation patients. Patients are welcome to call with any follow-up questions or concerns by phone, and both scheduled appointments and walk-ins are welcome, please call ahead to confirm availability for a walk-in appointment.
