Just reference Warren Buffett’s comments stating that he is disappointed in Wall Street because their revenues come from fees and not from trading profits.

To quote his exact words from the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting, “There has been far, far, far, more money made by people in Wall Street through salesmanship abilities than through investment abilities.” This confirms something that we have known for some time now.

The co-founders of optionMONSTER and tradeMONSTER — Jon Najarian, Pete Najarian, and Dirk Mueller-Ingrand — joined forces with Ron Ianieri in 2016 to launch Investitute with a common goal in mind: to help you, the individual investor, navigate the treacherous waters of the markets. In order to do this properly, they identified several areas in which investors would need to develop expertise. To do this, you must have a skill set that includes technical and fundamental analysis, option theory and strategy, and investor psychology to name a few.

Based on their extensive experience as professional traders and educators, the founders of Investitute know that to accomplish this goal they must not only be educators and mentors, but also consumer advocates. When you start an educational journey into the field of handling investments in the markets, one of the biggest problems is determining who to trust.

There are many so-called experts and instructors that do not have the training, talent, or experience that is critically necessary to teach someone else how to invest their hard-earned money and how to secure their financial future. This situation is much too important to be entrusted with amateurs pretending to be market experts.

We know that it is very difficult for a novice to determine who is an expert and who is not. This is because a novice by definition doesn’t know what they don’t know!
