The mission of Herbal Alternatives is to advocate and offer the highest quality medical marijuana solutions to improve the health of their registered patients in a compassionate and safe environment. Based in the heart of Washington D.C., Herbal Alternatives is committed to their patients’ well-being and goes above and beyond to provide the best care, medicine, and overall cannabis experience.

History: Herbal Alternatives started from the group’s individual personal histories with medical cannabis that prompted them to advocate for its benefits in the Washington D.C. area. Seeing a need for a conscientious and compassionate dispensary, Herbal Alternatives opened in 2015 as a way to put patients first and provide exact and complete health solutions.

Process: They pride themselves on being more patient-centric than most and work hard to offer a variety of options that suit their various patient needs. Herbal Alternatives is particularly adept at helping their patients determine the best strains or combination of strains that will assist them in relieving and medicating their symptoms. Their kind staff closely follows each patient’s progress and examines how the cannabinoid profile of what’s worked for an individual to use as a benchmark of what strains they should keep in stock.

Products: Herbal Alternatives offers a selection of anywhere between eighty to one hundred different flower strains, tinctures, and a variety of concentrates, cartridges, edibles and more. Herbal Alternatives purchases all products from District of Columbia licensed cultivators, and their patients particularly love their flower selection. In addition to marijuana products, Herbal Alternatives offers an extensive range of papers, glass pipes, vaporizers, dabbing and cleaning tools, bowls, bongs and storage tools. Herbal Alternatives offers volunteer discounts, referral rewards and birthday rewards to patients. If there is a product that a patient wants (but we do not normally carry) we will work to procure it for that patient. Herbal Alternatives is happy to accept cash payments, has an ATM on site, and offer discounts for both veterans and DC compassionate needs patients. Patients are welcome to call anytime to ask a friendly staff member follow-up questions, and they can order products online for store pickup. We have street and garage parking available and are handicap accessible.

Service Locations: Based in the Dupont Circle area, Herbal Alternatives lies in the heart of Washington D.C. and serves the entirety of the capital city. Medical marijuana patients in the Downtown, Adams Morgan, Bloomingdale, Eckington, Foggy Bottom, Columbia Heights, Noma, Capitol Hill, Palisades, Friendship Heights and Fort Lincoln areas are welcome at Herbal Alternatives.
