GroundSwell Recreational opened their dispensary in 2009 to serve Denver medical marijuana patients and began offering recreational use cannabis products in 2014. They began with a drive to align their background in cannabis and business in this unique field to give back to their community, originally starting as a delivery service. Committed to helping their patients in the early years to getting off of Big Pharma medications and onto a medicine that could help them, the owner and leadership team of GroundSwell Recreational have worked hard to share their dedication to their community. Since opening, GroundSwell Recreational has grown to serve nearly 1,000 medical cannabis patients each month, with nearly 3,500 monthly recreational use customers and each person treated with care and individual attention.

GroundSwell Recreational prides themselves on being a patient-centric and hospitality centric organization that stands out within the cannabis industry. Offering dozens of different cannabis options, GroundSwell Recreational supplies a deli counter with 6-12 flower strains, between 25-40 different concentrates, hundreds of edible options, topicals, capsules, oils and many more products. Nearly all their bud is grown in house, with each strain isolated and given much time and energy to cultivate the highest quality flower. Their concentrates are extracted from the same quality flower, offering a consistency in excellence and strain type, and they soon will supply their trim to edible companies to broaden their homegrown products. Strain favorites include their Oteil’s Egyptian Kush and their Logic Diesel, with their Harmony extracts line selling particularly well. All products are lab tested through Gobi Laboratories, and GroundSwell also offers accessories including glass pipes, dabbing tools, grinders, rolling papers, and much more.

At this time, GroundSwell accepts cash transactions only and provides an ATM for patient convenience. They are proud to offer discounts to veterans, seniors, and patients with financial hardships, as well as an assortment of daily deals, monthly specials and their “Locals Love” days. They also offer their GroundSwell Cannabis Society loyalty program, where visitors can accumulate points and earn different discounts and prizes with each purchase. Patients and customers alike are encouraged to call GroundSwell with any questions or concerns, and they offer a small parking lot with street parking available in front of their facility.

GroundSwell Recreational’s dispensary lies along East Colfax Avenue next to City Park in the Bluebird District and down the street from the Bluebird Theater.
