The story of FairBloom Marketing began in early 2010. Back then, it was a spark of an idea inspired by the college courses I was taking at the time. Initially, I went back to school to fill a need for intellectual stimulation, but I hadn't decided on a major. Around the time my daughter was born in 2010, I was taking a modern anthropology and a psychology course at University of Phoenix. These classes were intriguing but I couldn't see at that point how they would be useful for me as a career.
Then I took the class that changed everything. I took a simple Introduction to Marketing course as an elective and all the pieces fell together. I could combine my growing knowledge of how people think in both a psychological and cultural sense to create marketing that speaks to the intended audience. From the first day of that class, I changed my major to Communications with a focus in Technology.
After graduation, I worked in the software industry, providing in-house marketing services for a local software development company. It was interesting but I needed something more.
So, I went back to school for an MBA with a Marketing focus. I was still working full-time, but I also started taking on small freelancing jobs to learn about different industries.
In 2017, I decided it was time to take my freelancing to the next level and established FairBloom Marketing.
