Mr. Conroy's practice is primarily in the criminal law area and related constitutional and administrative law matters including matters arising out of the administration of sentences of imprisonment in both Federal and Provincial prisons and conditional release or parole and other similar issues. In essence his interests are in protecting individuals from the abuse of power by governments at all levels and to ensure that those exercising statutory power do so fairly and within their jurisdiction. The firm's principal is John W. Conroy, Q.C. Mr. Conroy is a graduate of the University of British Columbia Law School, class of 1971 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia on May 15, 1972.
He was appointed Queen's Counsel in January, 1996.
The firm is located at Abbotsford, near Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada. We handle cases and actions all over the Lower Mainland and beyond.
