OUR FIRM & MISSION​

CFO - on call was established to deliver robust support in the areas extending from accounting, finance, tax services to high level outsourced Controller & CFO services. Originally founded in 2010 as a small business accounting and tax services company, we have grown and started offering CFO & Controller level services to serve businesses in need. 

We principally support small and middle market businesses, including entrepreneurial ventures that need to draw and utilize from years of expertise in these areas on a contractual basis, allowing for cost savings, flexibility and year-round access to top-notch advise.

PRINCIPAL​

The Principal most recently served as a Corporate Controller and then CFO for five years at a multi-state, private corporation, along with its subsidiaries and holding companies with revenues exceeding over $50 million dollars. 

During his five years there, the company’s revenues grew from $18 million dollars a year to well over $50 million dollars. He was instrumental in designing and implementing, internal controls, accounting policies and procedures including hiring, development and management of the accounting team, banking relationships, loan covenants, annual financial statement audits and he also played a key role during IRS tax audits.​

Other areas overseen included Federal, state and local taxation, cash flow management, strategic tax planning, workers compensation, business development, and operations improvement.​

Prior to this he was a proud member of the finance team while serving as the Finance Manager at Indiana University, Krannert Institute of Cardiology at Methodist Hospital where he management endowment funds in excess of $25 million dollars.​

In addition, he served as a Plant Controller/CFO at a family owned bakery with revenues reaching $11 million dollars.

Prior to attaining industry experience, he gained valuable experience at three different public accounting firms specializing in the areas of financial accounting and taxation of primarily small to medium sized businesses including not for profits.​

Ray, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and attended Indiana University, Master of Science in Taxation program at the Kelly School of Business and Master of Business Administration program at Texas A&M University.
