CanniMed was established in 2013 to provide Canadian patients with access to a standardized and trusted supply of pharmaceutical-grade cannabis grown under conditions that comply with pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
Our goal is to provide improved access for Canadians who rely on medical marijuana to manage the symptoms of chronic disabilities and terminal illnesses, while maintaining safety standards and reliability.

CanniMed Ltd. was established in 2013 to provide Canadian patients with access to a standardized and trusted supply of pharmaceutical-grade cannabis under the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR) governed by Health Canada.
Our history is much deeper, however. Our parent company, Prairie Plant Systems, was the sole supplier to Health Canada under the previous MMAR program, and as a result of these 14 years, we have implemented standard procedures and processes that are in line with pharmaceutical manufacturing standards to ensure consistency of our products for Canadian patients.
