Canna Care Docs, a CB2 Insights company and the largest and longest-running multi-state medical cannabis evaluation and education center is eager to facilitate evaluations for the Opioid Alternative Pilot Program. This program will allow anyone who has been diagnosed with a condition that can be treated with opioids to receive medical marijuana as an alternative treatment option. The state is in the process of working through the administrative rules and procedures to develop a registration process for patients. More information will be shared in early January as the Illinois Department of Public Health prepares for implementation.
