About AMMA PAC

AMMA PAC is a patients first organization seeking to deliver greater access to certification to legally purchase and possess medicinal Cannabis. Our organization works closely with patients, dispensaries, ancillary services and products to ensure all points of view are adequately represented at Arizona's legislature.

On Friday, June 29, 2018, more than 30 Medical Marijuana companies were represented at the AMMA PAC meeting held at the offices of DIZPOT. And, we had representation from the Arizona Dispensary Association and another group working to collect the finances we will need to support upcoming legal actions. It was clear in the meeting that all of these organizations are aligned and planning to work cooperatively.

Thank you to those that participated in person and others on the conference line. During and after the meeting many commitments were made to finance our efforts.

While this situation seems to cast a looming shadow on our current state of operations, it is clear that most of Arizona’s dispensaries and brands are strongly committed to providing medicine to patients and that today, it is business as usual. Remember, the AZDHS is the regulatory entity for our industry which is enabled through the voter initiated and protected AMMA. To our knowledge, no rules or operating procedures have changed as a result of the recent decision.

In our meeting today, the coalition decided a few things are very important as we proceed:

  1. We must have a unified and deliberate strategy which includes the group who met today, the Arizona Dispensary Association, and any others organizing themselves to address this issue.
  2. Every company which works directly with or is tangentially focused on Arizona’s medical marijuana industry should contribute to the cause.
  3. There will be a meeting on July 6 at 10AM with the location to be determined and shared at a later date. Please clear your calendar.

Thank you all for the time and energy today. It is fantastic to see how well our industry can collect itself to ensure patients have access to clean and safe medicine.
