Intake Assistant

Treestar is currently seeking applicants with strong-to-excellent knowledge of cannabis products and dispensary operations.

The Intake Assistant:

Assists with the ordering, receiving, inventorying, and merchandising of product and supplies for the store. Ensures that all intake transactions comply with state and local laws and regulations and that product selection and quality exceeds customer expectations.

Job Scope:

Operates with direct supervision from Intake Manager and Executive Management. Follows established policies and procedures, contributes to the development of new concepts, policies and procedures as necessary to perform job duties and tasks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Acts as a secondary point of contact for our vendors;

Assists the drop of samples and test results;

Assists with ordering of cannabis products, clothing and accessories;

Creates purchase orders to send to vendors;

Reviews payment terms and collaborates with the Executive Management Team to determine further action;

Assists with METRC transfers and scheduling of transfer meetings;

Assists with final inspections of products and documents;

Organizes exchange of invoices, PO’s, and METRC transfer receipts;

Assists with repackaging for transfer and placement in storage;

Performs the required duties to record all sales and inventory transactions in accordance with state, local laws and regulations;

Ensures accuracy and compliance in all transactions;

Assists with product photography for online menu;

Assists with the distribution and collection of vendor questionnaires and other related documents;

Maintains established standards of merchandising/presentation, customer service, and compliance;

Stays informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, regulations and industry news;

Assists in communicating the details of daily operations to the Executive Management Team;

Performs inventory reconciliations daily, weekly and as needed;

Remains up to date with and responds promptly to internal communications;

Accurate data entry and record keeping;

Performs additional duties as requested.

Requirements and Qualifications:

OLCC Marijuana Worker’s Permit

Experience in inventory management and reconciliation

Associates Degree or greater preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills;

Proficient computing skills;

Proficiency in Windows based software and point of sale applications.

Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match;

High level of integrity, reliable and trustworthy;

Experience working in a heavily regulated industry preferred;

Maintain reliable transportation;

Ability to work at least 32 hours/week;

Ability to pass a criminal background check;

Basic IT skills;

Ability to make business decisions as necessary with oversight when needed.

Be self-motivated and with an excellent sense of time management;

Ability to exercise timeliness and adherence to schedule provided;

Ability to exercise flexibility;

Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects;

Ability for professional and friendly communication with coworkers, management, suppliers, customers, and regulatory/government agencies;

Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.

Great attention to detail and results driven approach.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

The Intake Assistant regularly works evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of our retail setting;

Successful performance of this role requires that the incumbent is physically able to move freely between different parts of the store, lift up to 30 pounds;

Spends several hours a day viewing a computer screen.
