Assistant Manager - Cola Cove

Cola Cove is hiring a new Assistant Manager! Join a strong team at this community-rooted dispensary, and work in conjunction with the Store Manager to facilitate an excellent customer experience. The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager and is responsible for helping oversee the daily operations of a cannabis retail dispensary.

Essential Functions

  • Manages store staff (receptionist and budtenders), in conjunction with Store Manager, through effective communication of company goals and policies
  • Cultivates a team environment that consistently delivers exceptional customer service and distinctive customer experiences
  • Enthusiastically supports marketing initiatives and educates staff regarding new products, procedures, and marketing promotions
  • Ensures compliance with security, inventory, and regulatory protocols unique to the cannabis industry
  • Understands and utilizes company controls relating to reporting, approvals, and inventory
  • Responsible for positive customer service experience
  • Manages store when store manager is off-site or unavailable
  • Helps oversee compliance regarding cash control, inventory management, documentation requirements and audit procedures
  • Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate
  • At least 4 years of retail experience
  • 2+ years' experience in a supervisory role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Solid management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Approachable, mindful, and positive
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for commuting among locations within assigned region.
  • Hold a valid Marijuana's Handlers Permit.
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations required for working in the cannabis space.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Have interest in the cannabis industry and be culturally aligned with Groundworks' mission.
  • Internal candidates must have been in their current position for at least six months (managers 1 year).
