About Space Tango

Beginning in the labs of Kentucky Space, Twyman Clements, a graduate student at the time, partnered with the then Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation CEO Kris Kimel, to understand and simplify the complexities of ISS-based research to become leaders in a new frontier.

Founded in 2014 by Clements and Kimel as a commercial spinoff of Kentucky Space and based in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky; Space Tango facilitates research and manufacturing in the microgravity environment from design to implementation expanding opportunities for biomedical and technology applications.

At Space Tango, we streamline the process of designing, integrating and operating experiments in microgravity to develop new products that improve life on Earth. Coupled with our expertise in technology and scientific consulting, we allow our customers to truly focus on their science. Catering to a diverse client base consisting of fortune 500 companies, leading academic universities, research foundations and educational partners , Space Tango has consistently excelled in a providing efficient and cost-effective product development cycles and rapid delivery of configurable systems.

The microgravity environment is a new frontier for discovery and innovation. Space Tango envisions a future where the next important breakthroughs in healthcare and technology will occur off the planet creating a new global market 250 miles up in low Earth Orbit. We are developing an entire pipeline of products to increase the variety, volume, and accessibility of microgravity. By exploring it with industries of all kinds, we can improve life on Earth and inspire the next generation to continue to expand the horizon of this new frontier.
